Collage "Constructions" are built from artwork and personal ephemera from grade school report cards to art performance documentation, original drawings, etchings and paintings. Keepsakes are edited in fresh space, constructing meaning in an alternate context, forming a nearly weightless foundation for reflection. Artists have a storage problem. We become our biggest collector and museum. These works document a time when deconstructing a storage space meant unpacking, editing and REMIXing the past to construct a present. We are layered complex beings and the stories are fluid contexts. Courage is required to recreate, rewrite, dismantle and rebuilt.
