Future Shock

This work is a reflection of our world from the perspective of an "emergent" being that I call Digital Primitives. The being scrolls through images on a large display, similar to how we scroll through images on our phones. The title "Future Shock" comes from the 1970 book of the same name by American futurist Alvin Toffler. The title defines a certain psychological state of individuals and entire societies, and a personal perception of "too much change in too short a period of time". I think this painting speaks to that idea, and how emergent AI beings might pick up all the bad habits of their human creators.
