Desert Graffiti
24" x 24" Oils and cold wax on gallery wrapped canvas. An abstract depiction of the personal effect of the desert on me, I used jewel tones and Southwest hues to show swirls of energy that become paths to everywhere and nowhere. The shapes and edges are sometimes sharp and jagged, sometimes clumsy, and morph into rounded, inviting masses--an allegory for the desert itself.
