I have long reflected on whether there is a connection between Greek mythology, Judeo-Christian ideology, the art of the Old Masters, and modernity. I attempted to portray this connection as I see it.These reflections unfolded over many years. Thoughts and ideas came and went. I occasionally made sketches, and sometimes lost them while moving. Eventually, I made a firm decision not to lose anything again. For several years, I gathered enough sketches to finally entrust them to the canvas.This work took more than three years to complete, because as my perceptions evolved, they changed. I repeatedly reworked certain parts, rewriting them many times before reaching the conclusion that I had more or less expressed what I intended.
