Garden of Earthly Frights draws inspiration from Hieronymus Bosch’s The Garden of Earthly Delights, reimagining its hallucinatory spirit through a contemporary sculptural lens. While the composition unfolds in a more linear, restrained staging, the work retains Bosch’s devotion to cryptic symbolism. Cast and fabricated elements in bronze, steel, wood, and brass assemble into a compressed landscape, part altar, part warning. Rather than overwhelm through excess, the sculpture invites slow reading. Its unconventional delivery evokes a world where beauty and dread coexist, and where meaning resists fixed interpretation.
