Hello, I'm Tim "TB" Murphy.
Art found me later in life, but it quickly became my language for storytelling and connection. As a self-taught artist, I approach each piece with curiosity and a sense of freedom—unbound by traditional rules, but deeply respectful of history. My work is a celebration of American pop culture: from the neon glow of vintage soda ads to the grit and glory of Negro Leagues baseball, from the glamour of classic Hollywood to the playful chaos of retro candy aisles. I use digital tools and mixed media to layer textures, colors, and found imagery, creating collages that invite viewers to find their own stories within the work. Nostalgia is my palette, but my focus is always on relevance—how these icons and memories shape the spaces we inhabit today. Whether it’s a hotel lobby seeking warmth, a restaurant craving character, or a collector looking for a spark of joy, I collaborate to create art that’s both personal and purposeful. My journey proves that creativity has no expiration date. I believe the most meaningful art is the kind that serves: it welcomes, it remembers, and it inspires. Through my work, I aim to honor the past while making room for new stories—one vibrant collage at a time.
