Hello, I'm Dawn Leigh.

Dawn Leigh is a multidisciplinary artist based in San Francisco whose work explores the quiet strength of human connection​,​ emotional vulnerability​,​ and memory. She grew up along the North Coastal stretch of San Diego​,​ where early exposure to ocean rhythms​,​ open skies​,​ and layered cultural narratives continues to inform her artistic sensitivity and subject matter. With a background in fine art​,​ arts activism​,​ and community engagement​,​ she creates intimate figurative works that honor the beauty found in aging​,​ tenderness​,​ and unspoken moments. Her practice includes drawing​,​ mixed media​,​ and collage​,​ often using repurposed materials as both palette and metaphor—connecting sustainability with emotional storytelling. Her work has been exhibited throughout California and in national juried exhibitions​,​ and she was recently selected for the Ocean III Virtual Artist Residency. Dawn’s art invites viewers to reflect on the delicate resilience woven into everyday gestures.
