Hello, I'm Saban/Cannon.
Sharon Cannon is a Los Angeles-based abstract painter whose work is driven by intuition, gesture, and bold color. She began painting later in life after a long career in business and design, and has studied with Susan Manders in Los Angeles and artists in Scotland and Cornwall. Her process often involves painting over earlier works, creating layers of hidden history beneath the surface. Don Saban, a native of Phoenix, Arizona, received formal training at the Brooks Institute of Photography and studied under Professor William A. Rohrback at UCSB. He has taught at Otis/Parsons in Los Angeles, served as Principal Photographer for the University of California, and exhibited widely. His work is held in museum and private collections worldwide. Together, they collaborate on Symbiosis, a body of work that merges Sharon’s paintings with Don’s photographs to create something entirely new. The images are digitally sculpted and printed on cold press paper with archival pigment inks—merging photography, painting, and technology into a shared visual language.
