Hello, I'm Cristina Rodriguez.

Cristina is a visual artist based in Los Angeles known for her collage and mixed media art. In the increasing digital world we live in​,​ Cristina chooses a tactile​,​ hands-on approach to her work. The act of cutting​,​ tearing​,​ and layering paper creates a physicality in her work as well as mirrors the fragmentation and reconstruction of personal and collective identities. Manipulating and reusing images allows her to create new narratives. Thus​,​ crafting stories within her artwork is constantly evolving.Through her work Cristina aims to engage the viewer with both the surface and the underlining meaning of my collages.  An artist in the making by passion​,​ Cristina started to take formal instruction on drawing and painting back in 2017. During the pandemic​,​ she began to explore the art of collage. Since then​,​ Cristina has participated in collage workshops​,​ art retreats and residencies. This led her to connect with the collage community​,​ a source of support and inspiration. Cristina’s artwork has been featured in Kolaj Fest​,​ Conversations with Artists​,​ Espace Canopy and in publications such as Common Ground (Borderline Press Art Zine​,​) Paris Collage Collective Art Books​,​ and Photo Trouvée Magazine.
