ARTIST BIO: SKY Palkowitz​,​ “The Delusional Diva”​,​ is an actor ​/​ singer ​/​ educator ​/​ director ​/​ producer ​/​ writer ​/​ filmmaker ​/​ healer ​/​ avant-garde multimedia performance artist ​/​ visual artist​,​ originally from New York. She worked closely with the renowned performance artist​,​ Rachel Rosenthal​,​ for nearly a decade. Sky has a Master’s Degree in Acting from the University of Iowa and has studied classical theatre and Shakespeare with the Professional Theatre Training Program (PTTP) at the University of Delaware. SKY has been in show business for nearly 40 years​,​ works in television and film​,​ and has toured 7 solo shows around the country. More often than not​,​ the idea of Aliens​,​ or a higher spiritual power​,​ dominates her material. She creates multimedia works with clients around the world​,​ and has produced dozens of experimental short films that have shown worldwide. And she paints Aliens… THE MISSION: COSMIC ALIEN ART is a playground of brightly colored​,​ stimulating​,​ vibrant visual Art that is meant to spread Love and Enlightenment on the Planet​,​ through the appreciation of prints​,​ products​,​ licensed images​,​ original and commissioned works available to the public. THE WORK: This is a culmination of the last 25 years in Los Angeles. Mixed media mostly consisting of wood and canvas​,​ the works are a combination of pastels​,​ cardboard​,​ stained wood​,​ watercolor​,​ acrylics and oils. The theme of Aliens has taken over. SKY’s body of work was on display for 17 years at The Harvard Hive Alien Art Museum​,​ Animal Queendom and Crystal Earth Creation Station​,​ Gallery​/​Studio​/​Workspace​/​Performance Place in East Hollywood (2001-2018) She has also participated in gallery group shows around Southern California​,​ and has been commissioned for public art and murals. CANVAS – Colorful​,​ vibrant depictions of Aliens doing everyday things that are representative of inclusion​,​ diversity​,​ multimedia​,​ multiculturalism… WOOD - There are patterns and life inherent in the wood. Sky’s technique is to bring out what is already hidden in the wood​,​ often tracing the grains with color and using the knots of the wood as eyes of Aliens or domes of spaceships.
