Hello, I'm Debbie Ranniger.
With my art I seek to capture moments of joy, surprise, sadness, uncertainty, happiness, cultural confusion, beauty, struggle, pride, focus, and other fleeting experiences in life and nature. I work primarily in pencil, oil pastel, watercolor and pen. I have exhibited and sold my work at various venues including The Northwest Pastel Society, the cities of Renton, Kent, and Federal Way, Washington, Graphite Gallery, Artco Framing and Gallery, Tacoma Frame Makers, Tacoma Art in the Armory, the Washington State Fair and Pierce College. I hold degrees in art, landscape architecture, and a master’s degree and PhD in small group and organizational communication. I have exhibited and sold my work off and on throughout my life while working full time in various positions as a public administrator, fund developer and executive director of an international non-profit.
