Artist Statement:My work tends to relate to gravity and balance in sometimes light hearted ways, but I tend not to offer my own interpretations of my sculptures or paintings. I think my explanations might distract from a viewers personal experience with the piece. I prefer that people discover their own meaning and connection with the art. Ken Price once said “Nothing I can say is going to improve how it looks as far as I am concerned. I think we need to have faith that the “Art Experience” can take place between the viewer and the work itself.”
