Ava Reynolds is a surrealist portrait painter and multimedia artist with a perspective that allows for art beyond the physical limitations of the human imagination. In 2022 they underwent a near death experience after a overdose from medical malpractice, and it changed fundamentally how they interacted with and experienced the world. “While it was terrifying it almost felt like it was a gift.”, “I never understood life so clearly until I looked at death.” Ava explores the other aspects and levels to our existence they have crossed paths with through paintings, portraiture and sometimes even quantum physics. Usually using simple forms such as faces to explore space, time, life experience and creation.
