Hello, I'm Mallory Branson.

I am a Pacific Northwest–based artist whose work blends vivid realism with touches of fantasy. Drawing inspiration from the ever-changing skies and landscapes of the Columbia River Gorge, my paintings often feature luminous atmospheres, dramatic clouds, and surreal elements that invite viewers into dreamlike interpretations of the natural world. Working primarily in oil, I also create detailed illustrations using watercolor, ink, and pencils. My style is defined by bold color choices and a love for light—capturing moments that feel both familiar and otherworldly. An artist at heart since childhood, I have pursued creativity as a lifelong passion. I briefly attended the Pacific Northwest College of Art as a young adult, further shaping my artistic foundation. Having grown up in Portland, Oregon, and spent my twenties in Oceanside, California, my work reflects a blend of coastal influence and rugged Pacific Northwest beauty, plus a love of arctic climates. Through my art, I aim to transform reality into something just beyond reach—where the natural world feels heightened, emotional, and alive with possibility.
