Fallen Eagle, The king of the wind, grounded by pride.
This piece is a metaphor for a leader brought down not by enemies, but by ego. I created this piece the week after the election of Trump in November of 2024. The Raku-fired eagle rests on the edge of the porcelain vessel, covered in images of the American Flag.
