Pony Express

The Pony Express was a short-lived but legendary mail service that operated from April 1860 to October 1861, providing fast mail delivery between St. Joseph, Missouri, and Sacramento, California. Riders on horseback would relay mail across nearly 2,000 miles of rugged terrain in about 10 days, a remarkable feat at the time.
