This painting was a memory from a hike I did in the mountains of Colorado to about 11,500 ft to an overlook of two lakes called Blue Lakes. We had done a beautiful sunny hike to the actual lakes a few days before. This time the hike was very high, very cold and very windy but with a spectacular view. My memory of the cold wind and the height of the cliff is reflected in this very abstract expressionist piece in cool greens, blues, whites and dark greys with very active brushwork and dripped paint.. The work is painted on all sides and requires no framing. A free hanging kit is included with the purchase.
