Hello, I'm Linda Kelson.

Linda was born in Boston, Massachusetts and has painted just about all of her life. After attending The Art Institute of Boston she earned a degree in art and accounting at Fairleigh Dickenson University in New Jersey. She has been living in San Diego, California since 1983. In 1990 she was able to leave the corporate world and devote herself full-time to painting and animal welfare causes. She was most influenced by the Abstract Expressionist artists especiallly Willem de Kooning and Joan Mitchell. Most of her pieces feature very gestural brushwork and pallet knife techniques and address themes of environmental protection, animal protection, human rights and the fight to save democracy in this country. All of the proceeds from her sales are always donated to related charities.

The painting is just as beautiful as it appears on the site. The artist shipped it quickly and it arrived safely.
