As part of my Water series I wanted to portray what happens here on Southern California in early Spring. When the rain arrives here in winter, vernal pools spring up in once dry, seemingly lifeless dry soil. They are suddenly alive with frogs and insects living their best lives for a few short weeks until the water disappears. A reminder of the wonder, fragility and temporary nature of all life. This piece is painted on all sides and requires no framing. A free hanging kit is included with the purchase.
