Pushing Through
This painting uses a sports metaphor to portray perseverance and courage. A figure pushes forward against a strong opposing force towards victory. I used pallet knife techniques as well as very gestural brushwork in this work to convey movement and power in the heavy texture of the paint. The piece is painted on all sides so it needs no framing. A free hanging kit is included with the purchase.
