Between Soul and Stone

Between Soul and Stone is part of the Skaïa series, set atop a white marble grave in a small, overlooked cemetery tucked behind the vibrant streets of Wynwood, Miami. Draped in white and surrounded by carved marble lilies, Skaïa lies in a posture of surrender—her body suspended in stillness, yet luminous with quiet tension. A moment caught between worlds: soft skin against cold stone, breath paused between presence and release. The image plays with contrast—flesh and sculpture, ritual and ruin, life remembered and life departing. Between Soul and Stone holds that sacred pause, where mourning becomes beauty, and beauty becomes a threshold.
