Gravity
Pulled to the earth by forces she cannot see, Gravity glances at her hand which once held something dear. She is not afraid. This unique piece in stunning green solid kiln cast borosilicate glass is translucent and changes with the kind of light that it is viewed in. Kiln cast glass art is a lost wax casting process. It requires an original sculpture clay, then I make a mould into which I cast the wax and then I make another mould to finally cast the glass. Each step in this laborious process represents years of skilled practice.
