Pacific
This fused glass piece captures the stormy and deep Pacific Ocean. In the unknown depths, there is both darkness and life. Fused glass is created by melting cut sheet glass or glass pieces together in a kiln. In this piece I also added copper wire and a fine copper dust which turns a rusty almost black color when it reacts with this type of glass. Pacific has a vintage black walnut frame ( 13” x 13”) and is mounted on sustainably farmed birch wood. It is held in place by tiny nails.
