Coming to America

I bought this painting at Goodwill of a woman in a green dress to use as a canvas. These piece is a remix of another person's art that appeared to be learning how to paint a female figure. It reminded me of a beauty pageant contestant and our Statue of Liberty. Instead I added color to her skin, gold crown, rifle and an American Flag. I put the red dot on her head as laser sight as I created this during Black Lives Matter, as we had targets on our people of color. The red dot also could be the mark of an married Indian woman, immigrating to America. We have so much controversy surrounding gun control, immigration, marking people, police, politics, gender, identity as we continue to combat all this confusion even today.
