A significant point of departure was Fellini’s Amarcord. The film left a strong impression on me. I recognized elements of my own childhood in it. In many ways, it reflected my childhood. What followed was a gradual accumulation of associations and images, added over time. The dog functions as an unnoticed witness. The woman as well.
