Pizzicato Peacock

I suspect this violin began its life enticing a 4th grade girl to embrace the mandatory musical instrument lessons...luckily for us, it didn't take, and the violin fell into my hands! One look at its sparkly blueness and I knew--it was secretly a peacock in its heart of hearts. The scroll has become the sassy bird's head crowned with a crest made from the original strings, and his body is built out of epoxy clay with a shoulder made from the chin rest, and pegs hidden in the "eye" of a few of his glorious tail feathers. Acrylic paint brings him to vivid, extravagant life. He hangs handily on the wall with a simple D-ring on the back of the scroll.
