Hello, I'm Aedan H.
Aedan Hanley is an American abstract expressionist and figurative artist whose work explores emotional resilience, human connection, and urban identity. With an academic background in fine arts and a Ph.D. in psychology, Hanley brings a deep sensitivity to the internal landscapes of his subjects. His process integrates layered acrylics, inks, molding pastes, and reclaimed canvases, building textured, hyper-saturated compositions that reflect the complexity of lived experience. Influenced by the bold gestures of mid-century modernists and the raw vibrancy of contemporary urban art, Hanley’s paintings blur the boundaries between abstraction and figuration. His work has been exhibited in galleries across the U.S., published internationally in journals such as Novum Artis and Art Market International, and recognized by galleries such as Covet Art Gallery and Teravarna Galleries. Hanley currently lives and works in Southern California, drawing inspiration from the dynamic intersection of personal memory, identity, and city life.
