Two Good Cowboys
Two Good Cowboys is a subversive, satirical take on the romanticized cowboy archetype, rendered in layered abstract expressionism. Vivid swaths of color, fragmented male figures, and suggestive negative space hint at the intimacy and tension between masculinity and vulnerability. The piece queers the Western mythos, deconstructing gender roles and cultural stereotypes in a visual language that’s as playful as it is potent. This work reclaims the cowboy as a Queer icon—coded, tender, and unbothered by heteronormative bravado. Previously exhibited at Gallery of Hermosa (GOH), Hermosa Beach, CA. Currently exhibited online at Covet Art Gallery, Oceanside, CA.
