Sanchez_McGrath​,​ originally from Atlantic City​,​ New Jersey​,​ has spent a good part of his life in the Washington DC Area. He is an illustrator and street artist who typically works with inks​,​ pencils and paint. His pieces are tiny​,​ intimate portraits mostly done on USPS High Priority 228 Labels. He utilizes a figure ground or chiaroscuro style to create the contrast between black and white​,​ similar to the method used every day in his profession as an architect to note mass and voids of a space. He creates the contours and islands of the portrait subject to help establish a clear visual hierarchy for the viewers’ attention.
