Hello, I'm Joe Kimble.

Joe Kimble is a contemporary artist based in Denver Colorado. His work combines woodworking and printmaking. The shape and scale of the substrate of his pieces are just as important in conveying narrative as the elements printed therein. Each composition is a collage of found images printed with black ink on wood, using silkscreen. Although flat, his work may simply be perceived as being a two dimensional painting. Kimble’s work is meant to be considered as sculptural in effect. These works introduce geometry and scale, specifically made to elevate and define modern interiors. Kimble’s unique approach and vision are a culmination of artistic pursuits in music, design, and illustration, as well as his genuine interest in people and relationships - all of which have lead to a career in barbering. Each of his works stands to express that no gray area exists and our truth is exposed in our attempt to evade God’s divine surveillance.
