This piece uses the iconic metaphor of “a bull in a china shop” to represent Manifest Destiny—the 19th-century American ideology that justified westward expansion regardless of its consequences. The bull embodies the raw force of that ambition: bold, unyielding, and blind to the fragility it demolishes. The china shop symbolizes the cultures, lands, and lives disrupted or destroyed in the name of progress. In this work, Manifest Destiny is not a noble pursuit, but an unstoppable force charged with both energy and violence.
