Intermission is a full-size giclée print on stretched canvas, hand-embellished, signed, and numbered by the artist. This is print 2 of 10—with only 9 remaining, as the first has been sold. The original painting was acquired by a private collector in Athens, Greece. It reimagines an anonymous artwork found in a Miami thrift store, recreated with the artist’s model, Skaïa, wearing clothing and holding objects also sourced from that same shop. The original painting appears in the background, creating a layered dialogue between imitation and embodiment—where life imitates art, and art reflects it back. Intermission captures the still, reflective breath between acts—poised, present, and alive with possibility.
