Landscape #26

My artistic process is a meditative reflection on nature finding patterns and making meaningful comparisons with paint. An autobiography of painting laid down through the years like the earths strata repurposed as recycled sculptural abstractions. Sustainability is also a priority in my process, as I repurpose my own used paint, reclaimed oil paint, and my failed artwork to promote environmental consciousness as a conceptualization of process. The cyclical nature of creation and destruction as theseus, moves me. Ultimately, my fusion of painting and sculpture aims to reflect the beauty of nature while embracing the history and potential of my painting with a brush, and free thinking with Dada as a foundation.
