Rainbow Self
Rainbow Self is an oil self-portrait that explores identity as fluid, fractured, and in constant motion. Faces multiply and overlap—eyes, noses, and mouths layered in shifting expressions—evoking the complex interplay between inner perception and outer presentation. Rendered in vibrant rainbow hues, the portrait is both a celebration of queer visibility and a meditation on multiplicity: of self, of emotion, of memory. The figure emerges from shadow into spectral light, caught between warm and cool tones, clarity and distortion. Rainbow Self resists containment, offering instead a kaleidoscopic image of becoming—where identity isn’t fixed, but constantly refracted through experience, color, and transformation.
