Slow Beatz

A 10" tambourine is reimagined as a quirky, confident snail with an inner soundtrack! I used epoxy clay to sculpt her body, and mandolin pegs for her eyestalks. After painting her swirly-twirly shell I decoupaged on the drumline from The Eagles' "Life in the Fast Lane," because that's how she rolls. She still jingles, but she's not meant to be played as a tambourine anymore--she's evolved!
