Spite My Face is a raw, mixed-media collaboration between Carl Hayward and Mike D’Amelio that confronts exposure, defiance, and self-sabotage. Violent gestures, torn textures, and acidic color feel both accusatory and defensive, echoing the idea of cutting off one’s nose to spite one’s face—acting in anger in ways that ultimately wound the self.
