My work is a convergence of graphic shapes, patterns, gestured abstraction, and is driven by an obsessive search for unfamiliar and uncanny imagery. I’m continually interested in how the variety of texture, the unpacking and navigation of color, and automatism informs the anatomy of that uncanny imagery. I let as many different possibilities emerge as I can, and I challenge myself with the limitations of traditional media. The work is inspired by the philosophical questions of where human society is going in our fast-paced and technologically driven world.
