Each painting begins with hand-blotted papers that are scanned into Photoshop. Using this robust software as an artistic tool, I cut and meticulously layer the papers to build my compositions. I can use the scanned papers in their original form, vary the level of transparency, and even alter the colors. I make design decisions based on my own artistic vision, and also to accommodate client requests. This flexibility allows my art to go beyond what's possible with traditional media while still keeping in touch with its hand-made roots. I employ a fine-art printer who ensures my high-res digital files are printed perfectly, mounted on sturdy wood stretchers with 1​/​4" float-mount frames, wired and ready to hang.
